Created to ‘crown the occasion’, this new whisky is finished in French Cognac casks, combining Scottish heritage with French opulence. The Macallan 2021 Classic Cut is a limited edition release and is matured in ex-bourbon barrels and sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez and bottled at a higher strength than usual for The Macallan at 51% abv. This release was the fifth in the annual series of Classic Cut releases from the Speyside distillery with one of the finest 'cuts' (the portion of spirit taken from the stills) in the industry.

Wild Turkey 13 Years Distillers Reserve has just landed 🥃🥃🥃
Wild Turkey 13 Year Old Distiller's Reserve was originally released for export to Japan only, this is an altogether more sophisticated take on the old Kentucky stalwart. As the name suggests this bourbon is aged for an uncharacteristic 13 years in new oak casks, the finished article bottled with a familiar bourbon palate but prominent notes of honey, vanilla and cinnamon.

Introducing Nikka Session Blended Malt Whisky 🥃 🥃🥃
Nikka Session is the first new whisky from Nikka in six years and is a world whisky blend of malts from Yoichi, Miyagikyo, and Ben Nevis. Nikka Whisky bought Scotland's Ben Nevis Distillery in 1989, though they had been importing whisky from its parent company, James Burrough, for "some years" prior to that. These days it's pretty open secret that Ben Nevis is a component of many Nikka whiskies.

Have you tried Longrow 18 years?
This heavily peated, twice distilled whisky is matured in two separate casks throughout its life. First created by the Campbell town distillery as an experiment to see how peaty whisky would taste when made in this area of Scotland, the demand for this expression has since grown and lead to a yearly release of around 4800 bottles. What makes this release truly unique is the combination of casks that have been used to mature the whisky, spending 75% of its maturation time in a sherry butt and the other 25% of its time in a bourbon barrel. This cask selection combined with the strong full bodied flavour of the spirit create a complex peaty but faintly sweet whisky that is sure to impress

Ardbeg 25 is an exceptional and exceptionally rare release from the hallowed distillery of Ardbeg. Bright amber in colour there is a burst of smoked cream, peppermint and toffee on the nose with Ardbeg’s classic fennel and pine resin. Distant earthy bonfires mix with herbal and fruity (banana & tropical) notes. A long, mellow, lingering aftertaste, with lots of cream, fudge and delicate antiseptic notes. Ultimately an elegant, soothing style of Ardbeg.

The Macallan Classic Cut 2020 is the 4th edition in the series of this limited annual release. Bottled at a higher strength of 55%ABV this is the optimum strength selected by the whisky maker to bring to the fore interesting and unusual flavour notes not classically associated with The Macallan.
