Noritake tea set, 1972 (25 piece set)

Just one of the treasures in my garage sale on 20th November.

Whole set priced at $80 but happy to negotiate.

I have just seen a tea pot on eBay for over $40, milk jug for $20, and one cup and saucer for $13 - So I think I have priced this well but happy to negotiate.

Huge garage sale on Sunday 20 November. Here are some photos. I have a lot of boxes to unpack! Huge amount of ornaments, German steins, blank canvases for painting (still in plastic), furniture, vintage Lloyd Loom laundry hamper, antiques dressing table, foot spa, stuffed toys (all have been stored well so no damage), girls clothing (sizes 0 to 6), Irish whiskey glasses, wine goblets, silver, photo frames, shoes, designer clothes, cashmere coats, baskets, lamps, mirrors, thermal cooker (still in box), tools and so much more. I will be spending all day Saturday 19th going through everything and getting my whole front yard and verandah ready for Sunday. Please come. 25% of profits is being donated to Newport Public School.

Next Sunday, 20 November.

Start time 8am and I will stay open all day.

Sunday 20 November: 8 to late

My last garage sale was 3 years ago. I have now filled the garage again from the house. It took me a while after mum passed to be able to do this but now is the time.

There is a bit of everything.... clothes, kitchenware, foot spa, tools, a compressor, surf boards, shoes, designer stuff, antique furniture, retro furniture, retro collectibles, limited edition and very naughty print by ian van wieringen (great for a bedroom but not suitable for a living room), silver, art, lamps, DVDs, CDs, clothes for kids (under 6), child size electric car (with a radio too, can be remote operated or operated by the child sitting in it), child size electric motorbike too (both in almost as new condition), toys and much more.

I will post some pictures asap but there is bound to be something there for everyone.

Please come and have a look on Sunday 20 November.

25% of the profits will be donated to the local school.

I need everything gone and really don't want it to go to landfill.

This Saturday I am holding another sale. This one is women's clothing, shoes, belts, bags, pashminas and accessories.

There is a huge range of items; from K-mart to cashmere... from casual to couture. Some never-worn items still with tags or in boxes, and some used but in very good condition.

Some of the designer labels include Karen Millen, Scanlan Theodore, Diane von Furstenberg, Chloe, Bruno Magli, Ralph Lauren, Max & Co, Calenzano, Herve Leger, M&S, Bodum. I also have 2 hand-embroidered Guatemalan overnight bags which are divine and a pair of Chloe Prince Paddington boots which are just about the coolest boots around.... and perfect for winter. Speaking of winter, I have a huge range of pashminas, many of which are cashmere. Max & Co black leather pants, leather jacket and winter woolens. I have one man's Ralph Lauren suede jacket (the only male item for sale this time).

The sale is in the cottage at the rear of 14 Neptune Road, Newport Beach this Saturday from 10am - it's in a little cottage which is considerably less dusty than the garage you may have been in if you came to the last sale. Walk down the left hand side of the house.... follow the yellow signs.

20% of takings will be donated to Newport Public School.

Deceased Estate and regretful sale

This stunning mahogany table belonged to my grandmother and then my mother. It is a beautiful 8 seater mahogany table with a central leaf insert which, when removed, turns the table into a 6 seater.

Dimensions as an 8 seater are: L 2100, W 98, H 77. Dimensions as a 6 seater are: L 155, W 98, H 77.

All towels are intact and the table is in sturdy condition.

Similar tables can be found at Lawsons, Antiques Plus, EBay and Gumtree for upwards of $1500. This one is for sale for $1200.

I am very sad to see this go but want it to have a great new home.

Chairs in picture not included but I do have a lot of antique chairs in my garage if anyone is interested.

Deceased Estate and regretful sale. This stunning sofa bed / fold out sofa is a very sturdy piece and recovered a few years ago in this lovely pale blue silk blend fabric.

The frame was made when they built things to last but the recovering was done only a few years ago. The colour would suit a home with a Hamptons style palette or any other neutral colour scheme. The pale blue with the faint beige pattern is super stylish.

The mechanism to fold out works perfectly and seamlessly and the mattress has never been slept on.

As a sofa, this is 1800 across, 85 depth and 67 to the top of the armrests. From the floor to the seat is 43 (but the cushions are not super firm so a heavy behind like mine squishes it down a couple of milimetres).

When pulled out to a bed, the length is 3,250.

SOLD: $20 for this Fisher and Paykel stainless steel fridge and freezer. Freezer works perfectly. The fridge works but you need to make sure the door is closed (it needs a little push). Using the screw feet to make it properly level should fix the door issue. Measurements for each (it's a side by side) = Height: 1595, width 525, Depth 574.

For sale: antique Queen Anne dressing table and stool. Table measures 760 from floor to flat table area and 1740 from floor to top of mirror, depth 500, length from side to side 1190. Stool is 490 high, depth of 350 and width of 480. Keep as is or transform it but either way, this piece has been solid for years and will last your lifetime and more!

Price is $300 and pick up is Newport Beach. Delivery is not available (sorry). Preference given to anyone who can pick it up soon.

Make me an offer... I probably won't refuse it....

Fantastic retro piece(s) in good condition.

My mum said these were made in Italy but I just don't know. The pictures show the two pieces side by side but you could put one on each side of a fireplace etc. The measurements of the two side by side like mum had it are: height 2220, width 1820, depth 440. So if you separate them into two pieces it would be height and depth as above but width of 910.

The top and bottom come apart, near the drawers, which makes it easier to transport but the wood and lead in the glass make them heavy. Two men would need to move them and you would need a van or truck if you wanted it moved in one trip.

I don't know what type of wood it is.

This lovely table will be listed on Marketplace on Sunday (15 Sept) but posting it here first because my JumbleSalers get first dibs. It's solid and beautiful and yours for $200. 120cm diameter so can comfortably seat 4 to 6 people. Pick up from Newport Beach. The top can be screwed off for easier transport. Need to sell this before the next garage sale (which I asm working on).

This first one was a big learning curve for me and a few people kindly told me that books have to be $5 or less to clear. Any other tips?
