🍷New in-store 🍷

🤘 The legendary Battles Granitis Shiraz from the Perth Hills.

The 2020 iteration of this wine won 🏆Shiraz of the Year in the 2023 Halliday Wine Companion.

🪨Granítis (grani’ths) is the Greek word for Granite and this unique bedrock is present throughout the vineyard. This is a rare wine with only 100 dozen made.

The 2023 Battles Granitis Shiraz is from a near perfect vintage and has lashings of plum, blueberry, mulberry and rasberry fruit supported by fine, chalky tannins. If you're a fan of McClaren Vale Shiraz, this is a wine for you.

Once this wine opens up (which will take a while given its so young) there is licorice strap, vanilla, white pepper.

If drinking now, give it a good 2 hours in the decanter prior to drinking. Roast rib of beef would be a perfect accompaniment.

For those with the patience, this wine will survive and thrive for the next 10 years in your cellar.

Medium-full bodied wine with 45% new french oak. At nearly 5 years old this is ready to drink but will get even better with up to a further 10 years of ageing.

Drink me with: A Chateaubriand steak and herb butter or a Lamb Roast with duck fat roasted potatoes.
