We got the whole damn set!

If I can go out on a high note, then this is it. Those who know these beers, ciders and mead, need no introduction. To those who haven't, don't miss an opportunity to be spontaneous!

These won't be around for long and neither will I 🤣 (plus, no one knows when these beers will be back in town!)

Well, these are a little tricky to write about yourself, but here we go!

After 8+ years at Tighes Hill Cellars, thousands of beers wines and margaritas, it's time to pull the curtain on my time at the shop.

It has been a pleasure to serve you all the best range of drinks in Newcastle, and I am proud of what we have achieved at this humble little suburban bottleshop.

My final day will be the 21st of March and that means drinks in the park to say cheerio to the best customers in Newy. So come on down and have a drink from 6pm.

Tighes Hill Cellars will be making a donation to be raffled off to support Andrew and as well as buying a few schooners with all profits heading over to Aspect too.

"We are reaching out to share something deeply heartfelt that has inspired us to take action. In February of last year, Andrew Pearman, an exceptional member of the Motus Transport team based here in Newcastle (The guys who delivery 90% of our beer & also most of the good Indie pack beer around the local bottleshops), tragically lost his beloved son, Sage, just before his 7th birthday in 2024. Witnessing the profound impact on Andrew and his wife, Loz, has moved us deeply, and we feel compelled to rally our incredible hospitality community to support them during this challenging time."

"With the support of Andrew's employer (Motus Transport), we are organizing an event to honour what would have been Sage's 8th birthday on Thursday, February 27, 2025, and to raise awareness for Autism Awareness Australia. As part of this event, we are collaborating with close brewery partners [Mountain Culture, Capital, Akasha & BentSpoke] to create a special beer that reflects Sage's passions and personality – he loved trees/nature/animals/Flowers, the bush & the beach, was a huge lover of climbing and even though he was nonverbal he loved to wrestle and rough & tumble. Sage's favourite colours were red, yellow & orange."

"We will have some auction items on the night plus raffle tickets available. Mountain Culture / Capital / Akasha & Bentspoke are all brewing beers for the night & will be flowing with the proceeds of these kegs going to cause. This collective effort aims not only to celebrate Sage's life but also to establish a lasting legacy in his honour."

It would be awesome to have the Grain Store community get behind Andrew & his family on the night by getting into the venue on Thursday 27th Feb from 6pm.
