Old Master Spirits' 1974 Chateau Garreau 48 year old Bas Armagnac - a brandy Malternative for whisky lovers.
You won’t want to miss our upcoming floral and fruity, 1974 vintage Armagnac from Chateau Garreau.
A powerful bouquet of apricots, cherries and melons along with strawberry starburst candy. On the palate you are met with honeydew melon, more cherries, dried fruits followed by an unbelievably long fruity and nutty finish.
Launching next week.
Chateau Garreau is located in the heart of the golden triangle of Armagnac, the "1st Grand Crus of Grand Bas Armagnac". The grounds cover 82 hectares with 27 hectares of vines thriving between woods, hills and rivers, creating a unique microclimate for the grapes to grow within.

Artwork by international artist Fai continues to grace the front label of every release. Our upcoming release features the Garreau family home which is quaintly nestled between hills and rivers.

In 1919, Monsieur Charles Garreau purchased the estate along with a new still. The very still which is now over 100 years old was used to create our upcoming Armagnac release.

A 1974 vintage from a producer with possibly the most unique history in Armagnac. Created using their traditional style still purchased in 1919, then matured in Gascon oak in their underground cellar that was built in the 1800s by Prince Soukovo Kabylin of Russia, who was the Chateau’s previous owner.

Created half a century ago and launching on Thursday 14th of March will be a 1974 vintage Armagnac from the underground cellars of Chateau Garreau.

A funky and fruity nose to begin with transforms in time into a tropical fruit and a decadent delight.
Nose: Tres Leches cake, pineapple, green mango, kiwi fruit, grapefruit and tiramisu.
Taste: Apple cake, super ripe pineapple, green kiwi, butterscotch and banana.
Finish: Pawpaw, green mango, vanilla creme and ginger snaps. Medium-long length.
