Just wanted to acknowledge this lovely gentleman Mr Richard Kimber. He would come into Meema's Lolly Shop every week and buy up on lollies. He was a man of very few words and each week I tried to pry any information I could. I think he gave up in the end and started to give me small snippets about him and his life. He had the shiniest glint in his eyes and a cheeky smile. I don't think he actually needed any of the sweets he bought. I used to open up his walker seat and put the purchases in an old plastic shopping bag and a lot of the times, the sweets from the previous week were still there. I remember one time in particular he hadn't come into the shop for a few weeks and I was quite concerned. I didn't know his name except for Richard. I went to ask Bronwyn from Red Kangaroo Books to ask if she knew where he was. He would also go to visit them each week after the lolly shop. She said "he would probably turn up again soon - he always did" And sure enough he did and went back to the weekly visits. I found out one day when his daughter came to see me, that Richard wasn't going out anymore. I was saddened to hear as he loved his weekly outings. He was in hospital and she had been requested to come and see me and buy some lollies from me for his grandchildren. I found out he was a legend in Alice Springs and I was lucky enough to meet him. RIP Richard Kimber

What a fun filled birthday party for Raisa, her family and friends Sunday 1st Sept.
I had the pleasure of hosting a painting party which was enjoyed by all. Here are some pictures of the budding artists with their completed works.
I am available for parties, work shows, at home and on location. Both adult and children painting themes, beginners and intermediate levels. FUN is the name of the game 🎨🖌😀
